Spring Break 2010 Huntsville State Park
Saturday getting ready to go Camping!
I bought the younger kids new sleeping bags. Bailey and Whitney got pink camouflage and Brady got Blue Camouflage.
Monday we arrived at 2PM
Actually Dad was sick and gratefully came anyway.

Our upper camp and new van - it was our first trip with our van. It was great. We did fill the van and the trailer.
Tuesday
It rained all day so we played Games in the big tent.

Hot Chocolate was a must!
We started to dry everything that was wet
Brady was fascinated by the cooking utensils he hauled them all over.
Our camp neighbors let us barrow there canoe. I had the babies and Bennett and Jennifer took the 2 man kayak.

Jennifer's large mouth bass (She had to release it, $500 fine) She was determined to catch a fish. They ran into a professional fisherman on a boat who gave them some plastic worms and some fishing tips. Bennett ended up falling off the kayak and climbing up the fishing pier. Jennifer continued on and ended up catching one.
Early morning walk with mom while everyone else slept. Fishing pier in the background.

Later in the morning we hiked up to the dam. About 3 miles round trip. Grant took the 3 oldest back and Jennifer and I coninued around the lake with the babies on our backs 6.5 Miles round trip.

We reached the spillway/dam.
Peeled apples are his teething rings of choice.
On our final time fishing expidition.
Bennett and Jennifer started out the day with a mountain bike ride around the lake but we forgot the camera- so no pictures.
We went to Walmart and got a tarp to stop the leakage. We also stopped by the Sam Houston Monument it is 77 feet tall and has a nice little visitor center and gift shop that are very dry. Jennifer stayed behind while the babies slept. Brady had a teething fever and Whitney was so excited about the camping trip she didn't fall asleep till almost midnight the first night. They both took a five hour nap that afternoon. With the rain it was a great day to sleep.
