Well after my last post (am 11/22) our day turned interesting. That morning Brady woke up his normal self. Playing around the house. At one point about 8:30 he came into the kitchen and said his neck hurts. He laid on the couch and I got a pillow. He hadn't eaten breakfast and he would not sit up because of his neck. I spoon fed him his oatmeal as he laid down. He had a temp of 99.8. I gave him some Tylenol and because bailey was having her party in a few minutes I laidhim down in my bed. He soon went to sleep.
Over 3 hours later I woke him up to take him potty. He would not get up. I picked him up and carried him to the bathroom. He screamed the entire way. I carried him back to bed. He didn't want to be touched or moved. I started to get a little concerned...there had been no injury. I called his Pediatrician and told her of his symptoms...she wanted him checked out in the ER. So we headed off to Texas Children's ER. He cried as I carried him to the car..."my neck".
I took Bennett with me (he is talking about a possible medical career) and Bryant left work to meet us there. 6 hours later...he had x rays, Ibuprofen, Valium, strep test with nothing. The best they came up with was a neck muscle problem (she said viruses can even cause this). She wanted to do a CT scan for maybe a slipped disk that didn't show up on the X-Ray. I was a little hesitant. we decided after 3 ice creams later (he finally wanted to eat something) that we would take him home on Ibuprofen and Valium. We came home and put Brady on the couch...all day he did not move his neck or lift it (since 8:30 am).
We had Baily's family party with all the family. Brady stayed on the couch (picture below). I carried him up to bed and set my alarm. I medicated him at midnight and went back to bed. At 1:30 Brady came crying into our room..."My Neck". I put him in bed with me and he laid next to me. Bryant gave him a priesthood blessing and he went to sleep.
Morning came and Brady sat up in bed..."can we make pancakes". I asked him if his neck hurt. He said "all better". Guess what we had for breakfast...prayer and pancakes. I was so grateful he was healed. He has no complaints at all about his neck. He is playing just as he normally does.
