Bailey's Birthday Party: 11/16/12

Bailey invited a bunch of her friends over for a party. My mom & D.J. were driving back from Idaho in a moving truck . They were passing our house a few hours before the party. We invited them to stay (and help of course) also their car was here. I spent the morning making giant cookie cakes. Bryant was bringing home the leftover Halloween candy and for the kids  to decorated their individual cookies. They used lots of frosting and candy. They put a candle on it. Bailey put on 10 and we sang happy birthday to Bailey. We started out by roasting hot dogs over a fire and playing outside. I was amazed that half the girls had never roasted a hotdog over a fire. they then decorated cookie cakes and opened presents. I think everyone had a good time and left having eaten too much sugar.

I took my mom and D.J. to the airport on their way to Idaho to empty the shop they had sold. I left about 5 am to get them. I was driving behind a semi truck. The truck straddled a  large semi truck tire in the middle of the road that had come off a different truck at some time (I checked to be sure). Well I had no time to do anything but run right over that tire in our little Honda civic. I gripped the steering wheel tight as the banging started under the car. I just hoped I would still be able to drive after. Well I kept going down the road. I knew something happened but because the car seemed OK and I was only a few miles from my mom's house, I kept driving. It was to dark to see the damage. We took my moms car to the airport. Later that day Bryant and I drove back to my mom's house and checked it out. It had pulled down the bumper and pulled out the entire wheel well. It was on the road somewhere. The air intake was damaged and had to be replaced. $250 in parts later Bryant had it fixed. It was a blessing he was able it fix it all.
